meet our creator

Ashley Edokpayi (she/her), Creator and Owner of Bloom Creative, is a dynamic multimedia professional with 10+ years of combined experience in storytelling, communications, strategic branding, and digital content. As a D.C. native with Nigerian roots who has lived and traveled across continents, she is passionate about the intersection of BIPOC cultures and justice movements, and how our lived experiences connect us.

She combines her diverse experiences and expertise to strategize and collaborate with local and global communities, share compelling narratives, increase brand awareness, and fuel purpose-driven projects, nonprofits, and businesses.

In May 2020, she launched Bloom Creative to offer custom branding and multimedia services centered on the needs of women of Color business owners and entrepreneurs, and to grow an inspiring community of creators and storytellers. Since Bloom Creative's inception, Ashley has worked with a vast array of clientele and organizations, including Grantmakers for Girls of Color, Black Women In Comedy, BarbaraJean Productions, and 40+ creators and small businesses in cities across the U.S. Ashley is also the co-creator of the cultural publication DIASPORA Magazine.
