meet our creator
Ashley Edokpayi (she/her) is the Founder and Owner of Bloom Creative. With twelve years of professional experience in communications and storytelling, she leverages her expertise and cultural background to connect with purpose-driven businesses, amplify narratives, and build community.
Ashley holds a B.A. in Media Communications from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and M.P.S. in Journalism from Georgetown University. In her dynamic career journey, she has led various comms teams for social justice nonprofits, innovated national storytelling campaigns, crafted global narratives for United Nations convenings, and more. Her latest work focuses on serving BIPOC and women-owned nonprofits, businesses, and innovators through strategic consulting and creative branding.
Since launching Bloom Creative in 2020, Ashley has grown a scalable business as an emerging entrepreneur and has partnered with prominent organizations, including Grantmakers for Girls of Color and Well-Read Black Girl, while serving over 50 creators and small businesses nationwide. In 2024, Ashley was a nominee for the Black Women Marketers Entrepreneur of the Year award, recognized for her impactful agency client work. In her latest venture as the co-creator of DIASPORA Magazine, she continues to explore how shared experiences connect communities and shape cultural dialogue.
